THE SNOWBOARD PROJECT
PATHS • Nelson Woremstead • Episode 178
Paths is a new series from The Snowboard Project covering people who dedicate their recreational time to snowboarding - but have a ‘real world’ job.
Nelson Wormstead dreamed of becoming. a pro rider - then reality set in - other kids had more talent. So he set his sights on getting a job that could pay the bills. With a college degree in hand, Nelson proceeded to take a job in a unrelated field - as a sub-rep for Oakley.
One thing led to another and now, 15 years on, and Nelson is running the show for Oakley on the East Coast.
But there is more, much more. Nelson is also an announcer - for the Street Leaguer and has even found time to earn a MBA. Not bad for a guy who has a full time job - and plenty of side hustle.
Nelson is an inspiration - of seeing where following your dreams can take you.
